Facebook feature you didn’t know about

I found a new feature on facebook where you can tab through all the photos in an album with the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. What’s cooler is that the page doesn’t need to reload. It looks like the page is loading a certain number of pictures in the background so when you hit left or right, just the picture changes.

They only load a few at a time because you get an apple-esqe loading circle thing if you scroll too fast. I wonder what effect the extra loading has on bandwidth?
